MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Knockout Substance Abuse Boxing Tournament, held in the Barcelona Hall in KwaNonqaba on Saturday 25 October saw all three of Mossel Bay's boxing clubs' fighters shine.
The tournament welcomed neighbouring clubs from George, Knysna and even the Eastern Cape. These boxers competed against fighters from KwaNonqaba's Ikhaya Boxing Club, Heiderand's Masibulele Boxing Club and Asla Park's Garden Route Boxing Club.
The tournament was organised by Ikhaya's manager and coach, Lazola Thole, with Lungile Singama, Masibulele's coach, and Masimphiwe Qatu, Garden Route's coach, quickly jumping on board.
Thole said the other clubs that participated were Phakamisa Boxing Club and Ikamvalethu Boxing Club from Knysna, Sobhuza Boxing Club from George and Mchubakazi Boxing Club from Butterworth, Eastern Cape.
According to Thole, the tournament was a great success overall and it was good to see the skill and talent in all the young boxers.
