GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - Following an incident in Great Brak River last night during which it was believed that a laser was shone at an aircraft (about to land in George), police found the light in a garden at a home in Suiderkruis.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Laurianne Botha says police received a call from the South African Civil Aviation Authority at about 19:30.
Botha says the laser light was aimed from the Suiderkruis area in Great Brak.
She says that after an investigation police found the light in the garden. The owners of the house were not home and police managed to disconnect the light.
Botha notes that shining a light at an aircraft is a serious offence.
The incident is still being investigated.
