GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - A doggie walk on behalf of Caws4Paws, a community animal welfare society, will take place on Saturday, 16 December on Suiderkruis Beach, Great Brak River.
It will start at 07:00 at the car park at the end of Suiderkruis Road and continue towards the river mouth and along the beach towards Sowesia Beach. The walk should finish at 09:00.
All dogs must be on a leash, accompanied by an adult, who will be responsible at all times for the animal's behaviour and for picking up "poop".
Poop bags will be supplied and participants will also be encouraged to clean up the beach as they walk.
The entry fee is R50 per dog. There will be a lucky ticket prize draw after the walk at the Suiderkruis car park. Funds raised will be used to sterilise cats and dogs from disadvantaged homes as well as to pay for kennels, food and emergency services.
