HARTENBOS NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police have opened an inquest docket following the death of a 53-year-old man near Saldanha Street, Hartenbos.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies says the incident happened this morning, Wednesday 29 April, at about 08:15.
“Upon the police’s arrival, the officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead on the scene by the paramedics.”
He says the man was found on the beach and the nearest street from the location was Saldanha Street.
A handgun was recovered on the scene and has been seized.
The police say no foul play is suspected.
