MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "A big success." This is how Mossel Bay Community Police Forum (CPF) chairperson, Leon van Dyk sums up the horse patrols on Mossel Bay beaches during the December holiday.
"Partners assisted for five weeks every Saturday to ensure the safety of holiday makers."
The project was initiated by the Mossel Bay CPF in collaboration with the local police, security companies, the municipality and neighbourhood watches.
Horses patrolled the area between Voorbaai and the harbour. "We will definitely continue with this initiative in future as it helped to combat crime in Mossel Bay."
