MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A couple from the Spanish island, Majorca, were seriously injured in a head-on collision on the Herbertsdale road on 1 February.
They were taken to Life Bay View Hospital where they are still recuperating.
To make the healing process somewhat easier, one of the hospital staff, Adele Lamprecht, contacted the Gannet Restaurant, renowned for its scrumptious meals, to prepare a truly Spanish "home cooked" meal for Joseph and Sandra Sierra, who are growing increasingly homesick.
Without thinking twice Gareth Shippen of the Gannet, assisted by Thembi Resha, visited the couple in hospital and soon the delicious aroma of the Spanish food had the couple smiling again.
Life Bay View Hospital spokesperson Elzaan Moelich thanked the Gannet for responding not only so quickly to their request, but also for dishing up the delicious food free of charge.
