MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 13-year-old girl died in a local hospital on Sunday, 4 August after she and two of her friends, reportedly of the same age, took an overdose of medication.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at the deceased girl's family home.
According to information, the girls were taken to hospital after after they were found drugged. The two other victims were transferred to the George Provincial Hospital, after their condition deteriorated.
At the time of going to print, no further information on their condition was available. The names of the girls have not yet been released to the media. Further information on the incident and what led to the girls' actions, has not been confirmed as yet.
An inquest docket has been opened.
