GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Fire update on Saturday evening, 10 November.

MISGUND
The fire at Soetkraal is still cold on North, East and the South side. The West side is still the only active area in an indigenous bush that creates a lot of smoke. It is nothing to be concerned about. SANParks recommended that the area must be allowed to burn out by itself.  Their team are monitoring the area.

WABOOMSKRAAL / JONKERSBERG
At Jonkersberg, fire breaks are being prepared in order to do a back burn. Conditions are looking good. 

Teams are monitoring the area.

RIVERSDALE
Fire near the MTO Plantation at Garcia has flared up and Garden Route DM and MTO teams are fighting to keep the fire out of the plantation.
