MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The newly elected municipal council is hosting their first meeting today, 10 November in the Mossel Bay Town Hall.
Several dignitaries are present including the Premier of the Western Cape, Alan Winde as well as Ministers Tertuis Simmers (Human Settlements) and Dr Ivan Meyer (Agriculture).
Members of the public are in attendance, including former mayors and councillors.
Other guests include religious leaders, role players in community safety, as well as representatives from the education and tourism sector and several media houses.
Today, the municipal councillors will be sworn in, the mayor will be inaugurated and executive committee members will be announced.
