MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Shaun Boshoff might be only 15 years old, but boy, is he strong.
Shaun recently participated in the Western Cape Strongest Man competition in Oudtshoorn, where he "smashed the junior deadlift record by 15kg", proud dad Shane Jensen said.
Shaun's winning total was an impressive 235kg.
He is the youngest junior competitor in Africa, and second strongest in the U19 category. This earned him the chance to participate in the Official Strongman Games (OSG) in Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States in December.
Although a Mossel Bay local, Shaun attends school at Langenhoven Gymnasium in Oudtshoorn.
Here he practises every day and when he is home on the weekend, the practice continues. It's clear to see where the strongman gene comes from when looking at his dad, Shane. He will also be going to Wisconsin to participate in the Masters section of the OSG.
