MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police have confirmed that seven structures have been burnt in protest action that apparently started at approximately 18:30 this evening.
According to police spokesperson Sgt Kapp no casualties have been reported. The Elangeni community has declared war on drug dealers and at this stage all of the targeted houses or container shops that were destroyed belonged to foreign nationals.
The situation remains volatile and the community is asked to steer clear of the area.
The police public order policing unit is on the scene.
The main arterials; Louis Fourie Road and Mayixhale Road remain open to traffic.
Should the situation change, the police will inform the public.
