MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Put on your walking shoes, get out the leash and bring your four-legged children for a leisurely walk along the beach path at the ATKV Resort tomorrow Saturday, 4 November at 12:00.
The views are exceptional, the fresh air invigorating and the companionship priceless.
All of this for only R50 per dog, which includes a fashionable bandana or wrap for the dog and a tin of pet food as entrance fee for the owner.
The Cansa Bark For Life 2017 forms part of the Cansa Relay For Life, that will stage the biggest Purple Power Party at the ATKV Pretpark at the Hartenbos Seefront on the same day.
The fun kicks off with the Bark For Life and is followed by a scooter race for toddlers at 14:00 in front of the Sfm studio.
The first ever Husqvarna Blow-Blow competition in South Africa is scheduled for 14:00 at the Putt-Putt adventure course at the Seefront.
According to Gert Rautenbach from TopSaw, this is the most fun anyone can dream of.
A team consists of three players and you choose your putter (a Husqvarna blower) and you blow the ball into the hole.
The competition will take the format of an American Scramble and all the proceeds will go to Cansa Relay For Life Mossel Bay.
Deflecting boards will also be issued to make sure the balls are not blown into the sea.
The entertainment starts at 16:00 in the Pretpark and teams need to be set up by 15:30, when the last team captains' meeting will take place.
The Relay kicks off at 18:00 and the Luminaria will take place at 20:30.
Individuals can enter at R60 per person and teams can consist of any number at R60 per person, which includes a Luminaria bag.
