MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Clive Holliday, the driver of the steam locomotive, Jenny, which operates for special trips between Hartenbos and Great Brak, will speak at the Mossel Bay Probus Club meeting today, Monday 4 March.
He will discuss the operation of steam locomotives at Voorbaai, Mossel Bay, and his career in steam, both here and in the United Kingdom.
Retired professionals
Jenny pulls five vintage wooden coaches. The Probus Club is for retired professionals and business people who wish to network; hear talks on interesting, relevant topics; and go on outings together.
Club members usually meet on the first Monday of the month at the Santos Express conference venue at Santos Beach at 12:00 for 12:30.
Stay for lunch
The meetings are open to all retirees at an attendance fee of R20. You are welcome to stay for lunch, at your own cost, to socialise.
