MOSSEL BAY NEWS - While responding to an accident scene on the R327, a Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management Services response vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle collision earlier today, 31 July.
The Mossel Bay Municipality confirmed in a statement that crew members were on their way to the accident scene when their response vehicle collided with another vehicle at the Mayixhale/Casino Road and Louis Fourie Road intersection.
“No crew members were injured. The driver of the other motor vehicle involved was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment,” said the municipality.
Mossel Bay Advertiser sent inquiries to both the Department of Health and Wellness (whose responsibility it is to provide information on accidents on provincial roads) and the police.
More information will be provided on both accidents as soon as it becomes available.
