MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality is aware of a possible oil spill on Dana Bay First Beach that was first reported late on Sunday 17 November.
An investigation was done early this morning and it seems to be used motor oil that most likely comes from a passing vessel.
The municipality has alerted and sent a query to both PetroSA and Transnet to ascertain whether any of their vessels might have had a spill and are awaiting their response.
The residue left on the sand can be bagged and removed.
