DANA BAY NEWS - The woman who was hurt in an accident in Dana Bay on Saturday, 15 February, was discharged on Monday, 17 February.
She and her child were admitted to hospital for treatment after the accident. The child was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
A relative, who would like to remain anonymous, told Mossel Bay Advertiser on Tuesday, 18 February, that the mother had been discharged.
The child is out of the ICU but is still in the hospital for ongoing care.
"He's feeling a little bit better today; everything is going to work out," said the relative.
According to information provided by Mossel Bay Municipality, the mother and her child were in the car. They were thrown out of the vehicle.
The accident took place at about 14:30 on the corner of Malva Road and A. Dominella Street. Only one car was involved.
Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management staff were in attendance at the scene.
At this stage, it is unclear if there were more than two passengers in the car.
