Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Regional court magistrate Yono on Wednesday sentenced the murderers convicted of the kidnapping and murder of 18-year-old Isaac Daniels in Dalisile Street.
Daniels died horrifically on 27 December 2015 when the seven murderers killed him in bundu court style after they accused him of theft.
Magistrate Yono sentenced the six men each to 15 years imprisonment on the charge of murder, while the 58-year-old woman was sentenced to 12 years for the murder.
All of the seven convicted perpetrators were also sentenced to five years' imprisonment on the charge of kidnapping.
The magistrate said the community could not be allowed to take the law into its own hands. She added that the murder was extremely brutal and that the murderers showed no remorse during the course of the trial. The sentences will run concurrently.
