DANA BAY NEWS - A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened following an accident near Dana Bay this morning, 22 April.
Provincial police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said according to available reports a cyclist was hit by a vehicle on the Dana Bay bridge at about 07:00.
Spies said emergency services personnel were at the scene. "On arrival they found the cyclist, who had sustained multiple injuries. The victim was taken to a medical facility."
The identity of the cyclist is not yet known. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
