MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The community of Marikana in Elangeli, especially in the vicinity of Tembalihle Street has taken drug dealers and criminals to task by destroying their property, saying that the community is fed up with the criminal element among them.

Reports of container shops being set alight have been received. 

At this stage the police public order policing unit have been summoned to assist the KwaNonqaba Police with maintaining law and order. 

KwaNonqaba Police spokesperson Sgt Kapp has confirmed that the protest has spread to Mamabolo Street, although none of the arterials have been closed to traffic . 

The situation is being monitored and if necessary any futher information will be shared as soon as possible.

The community is trying to get rid of criminal elements among them.
