MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Police Station staff and members of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) of the station joined hands with members of the KwaNonqaba Police Station, various neighbourhood watches, EMS Chaplain Services and volunteers to treat several senior citizens to an enjoyable day out recently.
Mossel Bay CPF posted on its Facebook page that "everyone has a unique story to share about very happy and very sad days".
It noted that "over the years, each one of them went through different trials and tribulations to get to where they are right now".
The CPF posted that although there will never be enough space for all these stories, it wished to honour these citizens and the example they set for younger generations.
The group went for a picnic and walk at Pinnacle Point and visited the Tunnel Mosaic Project there.
The message conveyed was that when you look at broken tiles, you could never imagine that something beautiful could come from them.
This is much like some life experiences. "As we walked through the mosaic tunnel, we could clearly see how something broken could be used to create something exquisite and beautiful," the Facebook post noted.
