MOSSEL BAY NEWS - During October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Garden Route Rewards cardholders played slots, poker, roulette and blackjack to earn tickets to enter the draw.
For every ticket entered, Garden Route Casino donated R10 to CANSA, raising a total of R30 890 for the non-profit organisation that enables research, educates the public and provides support to all affected by cancer.
Garden Route Casino Marketing Manager, Karen Johnstone, shares: “We were first inspired to run this promotion in 2016 when Cancervive used Garden Route Casino as one of the stops in their annual cross-country motorbike tour.
"With one of Cancervive’s objectives being to raise funds to help fight the disease through education, we wanted to assist by running the promotion annually.”
The nail-biting draws saw the winner of the first round collecting R1 000, the victors in the second and third heats each taking home R2 000, the fourth draw champion receiving R5 000 and a whopping R10 000 being won in the final round.
