MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team dog show is taking place soon and will be even bigger than last year.
This event is a fundraiser for S.M.A.R.T. on Saturday, 5 October at Milkwood Primary School. At 07:00, all dogs can bring their owners for a doggy walk, starting at Delfino's Restaurant and proceeding along the beachfront. The entry fee is R5.
The show starts at 09:00. Dogs can be entered into multiple categories at R20 per entry. Categories include best child handler, best S.M.A.R.T. supporter, best rescue, best oldie over 10 years, best trick under one minute, best puppy under nine months, most interesting looking crossbreed, most beautiful bitch and most handsome dog.
Five esteemed experts will be on the adjudicators' panel. At 10:00, George van Huyssteen and Anthea Fuller will host a special performance with their pooches.
There will be food and other stalls, so come prepared to treat yourself and your pooch.
