MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Community Police Forum chairperson Edgar Ntebe expressed his heartfelt thanks to the neighbourhood watch members of Dywili and Genoeg is genoeg for their selfless dedication to safeguard the community from people carrying dangerous weapons.
The various neighbourhood watch members, led by Ntebe, have confiscated several extremely dangerous weapons from residents in the greater KwaNonqaba area in an operation that lasted from 20:00 on Friday and up to Sunday morning at 03:00.
"Only by working diligently to disarm criminals, by being the effective eyes and ears of the police service, can the community be protected from opportunistic crimes. It is people who carry these types of weapons with them that very often target unsuspecting victims for valuable items such as cell phones or cash when they exploit their opportunities.
I invite residents to join neighbourhood watches - together we can have a greater impact on the crime in our community, "said the KwaNonqaba Community Police Forum spokesman, Edgar Ntebe
