RUITERBOS NEWS - A six-year-old boy sustained serious injuries as a result of an accident on the R328 near Ruiterbos this morning, 20 September.
A Southern Cape police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Chris Spies, said preliminary reports suggest that a small Hyundai truck with four occupants inside, the boy, another child, and two women, left the road and overturned this morning.
Spies said the boy was rushed to a medical facility in George for further treatment, while the two women and the child were also taken to a nearby facility.
He said Da Gamaskop Police opened a reckless and negligent driving docket following the accident and that the circumstances surrounding it are under investigation.
