MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Come rain or shine, nothing will stop a biker from attending a motorcycle run for a good cause. On Saturday, 15 October, the Ulysses Garden Route (UGR) club bikers gathered together with a few neighbouring clubs for their annual Paws Run at the Langeberg Mall in Mossel Bay.
This charity event was organised by Peggy Roux, club secretary and also big-hearted bikers who are all passionate about animal care.
According to the UGR president, Eddie Boshoff, the Paws Run event has been one of the highlights on the biking calendar since 2006.
Tons of animal food and all sorts of donations have been handed over to the SPCA over the years.
Elize Goosen, branch manager of the Mossel Bay branch of the Garden Route SPCA, and her team arrived at the mall to receive the donations.
She thanked everyone who braved the elements and came out to support this event.
To date, this was not the largest Paws Run, says Roux. This was probably because of the rainy weather, but she appeals to all Garden Route bikers who could not attend the occasion, to deliver any donations to the Mossel Bay SPCA in Bill Jeffery Avenue, KwaNonqaba.
