MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Put on your walking shoes, get out the leash and bring your four-legged children for a leisurely 3km walk on the farm as part of the Fairview Farm Yard Spring Festival on Saturday, 22 September.
The fresh air is invigorating and the companionship priceless. All of this for only R20 per human and R30 for you and your dog. Add another dog and the price will be R5 per paw.
The walk starts at 09:00 and afterwards an owner and pet lookalike competition will take place. So put on those matching outfits and blow the judges away.
The Cansa Bark For Life 2018 forms part of the 10th year of celebrations of Cansa Mossel Bay Relay For Life, which will take place at the ATKV amphitheatre on 3 and 4 November.
A Decade of Celebration promises to be an extravaganza of colour, fun and exciting events.
At the Spring Festival you can look forward to an array of entertainment for the whole family, with a potjiekos competition in support of Cansa, stalls, live entertainment as well as tractor rides, pony rides, a jumping castle, waterslides, Little Mr and Miss Farm Yard, Prince and Princess as well as King and Queen of Fairview Farmyard. The competitions are open for participants from 0 to 90 years.
Some of the artists in action will include Onblusbaar, Juandre, Antoinette, SixxStyles and Dihandri. Plates of scrumptious potjiekos will be available at R60 a plate.
