MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The bail application of a 51-year-old man from Sonskynvallei in Mossel Bay who is being accused of raping at least three 8-year-old girls has started in the Mossel Bay Magistrates' court.
The suspect appeared in court yesterday afternoon, Monday 21 November and has been in custody since his arrest last week.
According to police, the alleged rapes are believed to have taken place over a period of time at the suspect's home in Sonskynvallei.
One of the victims was allegedly paid R5 after one of the alleged rapes. The suspect is an employee of the Mossel Bay municipality.
His bail application will continue on Thursday.
