MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Award-winning visual educator Estelle McIlrath believes that everyone can express themselves visually with the correct guidance.
Therefore, anyone can benefit from one of her interesting workshops. Workshops are suitable for all ages, from seven to 77 years old.
On Saturday, 18 May, from 09:30 to 12:30 at the Dias Museum, explore the ancient Inuit art of scrimshaw.
The next week, 25 May, from 09:30 to 12:30, discover the magic of scrape-board. On Saturday, 1 June at the Dias Museum from 09:30 to 12:30, find out more about charcoal and conté techniques.
Be at Santos Beach on 8 June from 09:30 to 12:30 for "pointalism".
There will be a workshop on Saturday, 15 June in Dana Bay at McIlrath's studio from 10:00 to 15:00, which will include the ancient art of encaustic (used by the Egyptians and Romans). An armatures and air-dry clay sculpture workshop will take place on 22 June and a papier-mâché workshop on 29 June.
