MOSSEL BAY NEWS - ANC Mossel Bay Ward 9 chairman Wayne Jordaan (57) passed away at about 07:30 today, Tuesday 13 September.
He was at his sister, Shjanneil Busch's, house at the time.
Family spokesperson Alistair Brinkhuis said Jordaan, who was his cousin, had fallen ill on Saturday and had been taken to Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital by Shjanneil.
She had brought him back to her house the same day.
Brinkhuis said the family thought the cause of death was heart failure.
"For 17 years he had been on heart medication," he said.
Jordaan was not married and had no children. Brinkhuis said: "He had been in long-term relationships but had never married."
Ward 9 comprises the D'Almeida area.
