MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality is proud to announce that a Booze Bus is being used during the festive season as part of its strategy to ensure road safety, with a zero tolerance of drinking and driving.
According to Mayor Dirk Kotzè, the Booze Bus will assist the Traffic Department and municipal law enforcement in their task to curb alcohol abuse among drivers. Drivers' alcohol levels will be tested in the Booze Bus.
From the start of the school holidays until Sunday, 19 December, 17 drinking and driving arrests were made by the municipal Traffic Department, Provincial Traffic Department and the police.
Mossel Bay offers various taxi services which can be booked in advance or ask sober friends or family to transport you.
