MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Coral Saayman, who lives at ACVV Kenani Service Centre for senior citizens, turned 90 on 15 May.
Her cake was in the shape of a Singer sewing machine and included cotton bobbins and roses as decorations.
Coral had a celebration at her daughter's house in Hartenbos.
"There were about 30 of us altogether - children and grandchildren," Coral told the Mossel Bay Advertiser. "We had lots of nice eats.
" Coral and her daughter got everything ready before all the family arrived. "Coral is my nickname. My real name is Anna Cornelia," she said.
"At the end of November, I will have been at Kenani for 18 years.
It's almost a lifetime." She says she has a few health issues. "But, actually, I feel healthy and my health problems don't bother me. I'm on the go," she said.
An unforgettable cake.
