MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Several metres of cable casing were found in the Little Brak River area by members of the Mossel Bay Municipality’s environmental management team, in collaboration with Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) teams working in the same area.

Mossel Bay Municipality announced this in a statement this week.

It is estimated that nearly 30 tons of cable casing has been recovered. The casing is currently in storage and has not been claimed yet.

Thieves usually remove the copper from inside the casing and leave the casing behind.

The police have been informed of the find. Mossel Bay Municipality urges the community to report any suspicious activities or persons to the police.
