Molefe says Eskom will continue to supply electricity and to maintain its plants with minimal or no load shedding.
Eskom has only cut power to certain areas for two hours in the last 87 days.
The utility has meanwhile vowed to do everything it can to avoid rolling blackouts.
Earlier this year, unit six at the Medupi Power Station was brought online, which added about 800 megawatts to the grid.
Eskom’s Khulu Phasiwe last week said they had taken it offline for testing and they were able to avoid load shedding.
