MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Heads turned on Friday, 20 April, as a human-sized blue lightbulb on the back of a blue bakkie travelled through town, waving at the curious passersby.
This characterised the lightbulb named Blu's trail through Mossel Bay as part of the autism awareness campaign facilitated by the Education and Training Hub for Autism Needs (ETHAN) in April.
On 20 April, Blu was accompanied by learners from ETHAN and the Zettie Jonker Hulpsentrum.
Since the start of April, with World Autism Awareness Day celebrated on 2 April, ETHAN has been active to create greater understanding and acceptance of autism.
During his travels on Friday, Blu visited schools and local businesses, not only creating awareness, but lots of smiles en route.
Blu paid a visit to the offices of the Mossel Bay Advertiser in Church Street as part of the awareness campaign.
