The truck's rear brakes locked during the first two attempts, but the old adage 'third time lucky' rang true once again, as Behr succeeded during this third try and managed to pull the truck for a distance of 35m, to the delight of the many onlookers.
Various other motorsport activities were hosted during the course of the day.
"I am very pleased that everything went off well with no eventualities," Behr said.
Owner of Pirate's, Leon Coetzee, is equally pleased with the day's turnout. The programme included a variety of motorsport and biking action, as well as fun for children, such as balloon modelling, a mime artist and stilt walker.
Behr thanked Vredebest for its continued support during many of his performances.
