MOSSEL BAY NEWS - It was a good weekend for Mossel Bay locals when it comes to the beauty stakes.
Mossel Bay's Danica Barnard, a B.Ed student, was crowned Miss United Nation International 2018/19 in Toronto, Canada. Danica was the reigning Miss Africa United Nation.
Closer to home, Justine Proudfoot (8) of Dana Bay, a Milkwood Primary School learner, was crowned Little Miss Garden Route. The pageant was held at the Wilderness Hotel, with Mossel Bay municipal councillor Anton Dellemijn as one of the judges.
Also, the males were not to be outdone. Tristin Brown (8), a Dana Bay boy who attends Hartenbos Primary School, was voted Mr Pre-Teen Garden Route. Another Mossel Bay local, Stefano Buitendag of Kids Kingdom Preschool, was crowned Little Mr Garden Route 2018.

Councillor Dellemijn, who may have thought he attended merely to judge the event, was recognised for his ongoing community service by being voted Sir Garden Route 2018.
