EDEN DISTRICT NEWS - Welcome to our region, one of the most beautiful, awe-inspiring destinations in South Africa and the world. 

The region stretches from Witsand to Plettenberg Bay, right around to Uniondale, Oudtshoorn, Calitzdorp and Ladismith on the R62.

Eden District Municipality's jurisdiction covers the following areas: Bitou, Knysna, George, Mossel Bay, Hessequa, Kannaland and Oudtshoorn. 

These municipalities are doing a sterling job at delivering basic services to residents and visitors. 

We are, however, experiencing water shortages, and we need you to play your role in conserving water. Every one of you who visits our district comes here because you would like to enjoy time with family and friends or to break away from the pressure of the fast-paced city life. 

I hope you enjoy some of the many tourism offerings we provide to visitors. While enjoying our diverse offerings, we also encourage everyone to exercise extreme caution on the road.
