MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On Saturday, 16 June the Democratic Alliance Youth (DAY) East region members were joined by the regional and provincial leaders in Mossel Bay to officially launch the DAY structures in the region.
The Mossel Bay constituency hosted a number of youth events which were well attended and supported. The leadership of the province emphasised the importance of young people within the party and the central role they play in addressing the issues the youth face in the country.
The chairman of the DA East region, Jaco Londt, opened the main meeting and motivated the DAY members to move into the political space and take ownership of the DAY identity.
Provincial DAY chairman Carl Pophaim encouraged the youth to make use of the opportunities, both in government and the private sector, that are available to them.
The east regional DAY chair Ronaldo Booysen facilitated a session and asked each constituency representing the DAY to provide feedback on their future plans and challenges.
The east region DAY executive thank all who attended the meeting and their commitment to driving the issues our youth face. They also thank their sponsors and DA staff members and councillors for their continued support.
