MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Megan Kay was skateboarding in the Linkside area of Mossel Bay, near the Provincial Hospital, when she came a cropper on Friday, 19 June.
It was only her third time on a skateboard and she was being videoed. Everything was looking good on the video, but suddenly she lost her balance and landed on the tarmac, chin down.
Megan (29) says: "It was my first hill." Despite falling and having to have four stitches in a cut in her chin, she says: "I will skate again."
Her chin was stitched up at the Provincial Hospital.
There were two boys on bicycles who saw what had happened. Megan was impressed with their kindness. She said: "They got off their bikes, got my friend and my skateboards and brought them to us and then asked if we needed help and if I was okay."
