MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Maja Snyman of Glentana has won the overall Starz at Home national online talent competition.
The competition boasts top South African entertainers as judges and is headed by actress, singer and musical theatre coach, Lisa Bobbert. This year Starz at Home was in its third season.
The winner was announced on 24 June, when Maja was 13 years old, but she has since turned 14.
Not only does Maja have this feather in her cap, but she is going to the SA Championships of Performing Arts in Rustenburg in October. She made it through the regional Southern Cape auditions earlier this year.

Last year her sister, Catia (15), won Starz at Home. Catia did not enter this year because she was working on her repertoire for playing at weddings.
The winning violin piece Maja chose was not for the fainthearted. It was the fast, energetic Czardas, composed by Vitorio Monti.
One of Maja's successes has included performing with the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra at the age of seven.
Starz at Home included performers up to the age of 21 years, who could sing, dance, act or play a musical instrument.
