MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Estelle McIlrath Art School's Celebration of Art Awards Ceremony was held at the Dias Museum on Sunday, 1 December.
This visual feast, presented annually and showcasing the work of McIrath's students, can be viewed until 15 February 2020 at the Shell Museum.
As usual, the art is impressive, especially the clay figures, where body language is expressed in clay. Other techniques on display includes pencil and stick-pen and ink drawings; pointillism; acrylic work; scrimshaw and oil pastel.
Students used all these different techniques and media to explore the art-making process. Students, true to the tradition at the school, each received their art achievement awards.
