MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "What a privilege to once again spend time with the principals and teachers of the schools participating in the Moves for Life Programme in the Garden Route."
These were the words of Ridgeview Primary School principal Sharlton Groenewald.
Moves for Life is an initiative using chess as a means of learner development.
A special breakfast for school principals in the Mossel Bay area was held on 24 August.
This was followed by a training session for foundation phase educators in the afternoon.
The main donors are the Garden Route Tsogo Sun Hotel and the Garden Route Casino Community Trust.
Groenewald said: "Thank you to everyone who made this day a success."
The Moves for Life team consisted of Caroline Smalberger, Fazal Primo and George Lawerlot and Amanda Fourie hosted and presented the training.
Mossel Bay Circuit 2 teachers, headed by Rozelle Smith-Neethling, attended the teacher training at the Tsogo Sun Garden Route Hotel on Thursday, 24 August.
The following primary schools attended: Diaz, Isalathiso, Garden Route, Imekhaya, St Blaize and Ridgeview.
