MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 30-hour crocheting marathon is taking place at Hartenbos Seefront on 26 and 27 May.
This is part of an ATKV project in which crocheters are taking part simultaneously at about 94 venues countrywide.
The aim is for participants to crochet 20cmx20cm squares, which will be joined together to make blankets to distribute to those in need for winter.
You can also crochet 20cmx20cm squares in double knit wool at home and hand them in.
If you do not crochet yourself, you can make a cash donation, donate double knit wool or No 4 crochet hooks.
Wool is desperately needed.
For more information and to join the marathon at the Hartenbos Seefront, contact Ria Potgieter (064 413 1808) of the Eden KnitWits, who is organising the local marathon.
