MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The National Centre for Child Protection is taking hands with Cape2Care, organising a 1480km walk from Riviera on the Vaal to Hartenbos to raise awareness.
The centre owns 228 Child Protection Hotlines countrywide and after the Cape2Care walk it will have 250 hotlines.
Cape2Care is a charity which assists children who have difficult circumstances.
The National Centre for Child Protection will be launching new Child Protection Hotlines along the route down to Hartenbos.
The centre would like to make the community "aware that there is help out there".

The schedule for the Garden Route:
Wednesday, 15 February: Sedgefield; Thursday, 16 February: George; Friday, 17 February: Hartenbos.
The aim is for people to sponsor kilometres. The goal is to reach R5 million. By week R40 481,40 had been raised so far.
