Food for underprivileged children
The care centre has outreach programmes for which ongoing funding is needed. It buys food for underprivileged children on a daily basis. For most of these children, the food they get at school, is the only meal they have for the day.
The centre also buys school clothes and shoes for those children in need. It takes children on outings throughout the year.
The care centre's Christmas parties are the highlight of the year. The centre motivates children to do well at school by spoiling the top students every year with wonderful outings. Food parcels are given to households once a month.
Helping pensioners
The centre prepares and distributes food parcels to underprivileged and sick pensioners, whose only income is a small government pension.
At the NPO's care centre in Powertown, it helps children with their homework, gives them a healthy home-cooked meal every day and facilitates outdoor activities for them.
