MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA is investigating a case of several dead calves found in the Bartelsfontein area, off the N2 outside Mossel Bay in the direction of Cape Town.
The carcasses are in differing stages of decomposition.
SPCA head Salome Bruyns says the SPCA is investigating the cause of death and the reason the calves are lying in the open.
The SPCA is also reporting this to the state vet and to environmental and health authorities for the Garden Route area.
Inspectors visited the scene twice yesterday and again today. The SPCA investigation is under way.
