MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A press release published on the back page of the Mossel Bay Advertiser on Friday, 28 July, regarding so-called Manchester United Soccer School (MUSS) trials is a scam.
Mossel Bay Advertiser made enquiries after receiving a complaint from a member of the public and found out that it was a scam, and no such soccer trials are taking place in South Africa.
The Manchester United Soccer School only operates in the United Kingdom.
The Advertiser contacted the DHL Cape Town Stadium. A staff member at the stadium confirmed the stadium was not booked for trials as was claimed in the press release and that the press release was a scam.
Mossel Bay Advertiser did more research and found that there were notices on the internet that the press release on the soccer trials was a scam.
