BLOG - In my quiet time, the Holy Spirit reminded me how quickly we can get sidetracked and completely forget to spend time with God and from that, this piece was birthed.
Read this as a love letter from your Pappa. A yearning for His child.
Return to Me, the Maker of your innermost being.
Come to Me, He who loves you beyond the million galaxies. For no one can truly love you more than the One who formed you, Who knitted you together in secret.
Return to My warm embrace for I welcome you with open arms.
My very presence clothes you with warmth. Turn away from your idols – things that occupy your time, for they are indeed idols.
I long for you to climb on to My lap. Keep your focus on Me; do not let it waiver. Do not let it wonder towards other things.
The only one you need
Do not let your shame and confusion cover you anymore. I am the only one you need. I know you better than you know yourself.
Do not forget who I am and what I have done for you. I love you with an everlasting love, a love that is foreign to this world.
A love that cannot be bought, yet I paid the highest price. Make time for Me; I want nothing more than for you to sit at My feet and share your innermost feelings.
Do not neglect Him; do not forget your Father. Do not let this world take all your time, so you have nothing left for Him.
He deserves more than our Sunday mornings and quick prayers of thanksgiving, yet God asks for nothing more. Do not let the rocks cry out in your place. He is worthy of our praise.
We are His creation, formed from His image, yet we are the only ones who do not glorify God by choice. Who is man that the Creator of the stars, a number no human can count, is mindful of him?
Who are we that the King knows the very number of hairs on our head? Are we not formed from dirt, the very earth we walk on? A peculiar love indeed. - From the blog, Uncovering , by Shantel (16), of Mossel Bay.
