Transport was made available, thanks to the Garden Route Casino Community Trust. From the start this week, 113 residents from rural areas including Buisplaas, Jonkersberg, Toekoms, Herbertsdale, Vleesbaai and more were bused in.
More than 40 service providers participated in the week's service delivery programme.
Mossel Bay mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, said at the start of the week: "The whole idea with the Thusong Centre is to act as a one-stop shop, allowing the community to access multiple services.
"What makes this week different, is that residents can access even more services than usual.
"The bottom line is that we want to serve all residents with the necessary respect.
"Nomzi Jika, the coordinator at the centre, is exemplary in this way, always serving the community with compassion."
The town council Speaker, Venolea Fortuin, echoed the mayor's sentiments, saying the municipality is all about caring and that this finds expression in service delivery.
The mayor was joined by members of the mayoral committee during a walkabout at the Thusong Centre to celebrate the launch of the outreach.
