MOSSEL BAY NEWS - This year, learners of Sao Bras High school participated in the yearly Eisteddfod and excelled. Hard work went into preparation for the competition.
The following learners participated in the next categories:
- Zachary Saal (Grade 12) and Elrigde Ruiters (Grade 10) were the first learners to rap in the music category. Both received Gold for their outstanding performances.
- Desmonique Arendse (Grade 9) did a monologue which landed her Silver, Mikyle Miller (Grade 12) recited his own poem and was awarded Gold for his performance.
- A group of six Grade 8 girls performed a choral verse with much passion and they were rewarded with Gold for their performance. The girls are Khazimla Siyo, Akum Kani, Yonela Mdekazi, Riziki Kasibu, Tharollo Mofokeng and Mbali Sukwini.
The highlight of our school performances, Athandiwe Makhaluza performed her own written poem “Love” for which she received honourable mention and praise respectively. She was also invited to the Gala Evening, where she performed her poem.
The school congratulated them on their efforts and achievements.
